Muddy Pearl is a new independent publisher of Christian books, run along traditional lines. Our editorial pedigree is drawn from a number of years apprenticeship at publishers like IVP, Lion Hudson, Alpha and Spring Harvest, and from active involvement with the work of Tearfund, LICC and 24-7 prayer. Our hope is to continue in that vein and appeal to readers from a similarly broad cross section of church backgrounds.
We like to support bookshops wherever possible. Our books are produced initially as print titles and only after a few weeks as e-books. Our e-book pricing is in line with that of our print books. Our print books are produced to a professional standard by our experienced typesetting and production team, and printed in the UK.
Freelances
We work with a trusted team of freelances and some volunteers: reviewing manuscripts, proofreading, copyediting, design, typesetting and sales. If you share our vision and are gifted and experienced in one of these areas, then do please drop us a line. Please send your CV, an introductory letter, a sample of your work if appropriate, and a note of your fee structure. We look forward to hearing from you.
Reviewers
We are looking to build a community of reviewers who would be interested in receiving a copy of each book (or specified genres) we publish and posting an honest review on their own social media/blog pages. Please do get in touch with us via our Contact Us page if you would like to be part of this community and we will be in touch to talk through next steps!
